This year we went to Cancun, Mexico for a one-week vacation. We stayed at Hard Rock Resort on the beach. We stayed at Hard Rock hotel in Panama last year and we absolutely loved it so our expectation was high. Our hotel room in Cancun was not as large as the Panama one but still spacious and nicely decorated.
今年も寒いミネソタを少し抜け出して、1週間のバケーション。今回は、メキシコのカンクンというところへ行ってきました。昨年パナマで泊まったハードロックホテルが気に入ったので、カンクンのハードロックリゾートを予約。パナマほど大きい部屋ではなかったものの、それでも普通のホテルに比べると広い部屋。そして、ビーチの眺めが最高でした。

ハードロックホテルは、インテリアもちょっとロックンロールをしている（笑）ところが面白いのです。これは、ギターのついたベッドシーツ。
And my second favorite thing (after the view) was this large bath tub in the room! You can watch TV or enjoy the view while taking a bath!
オーシャンビューの次に気にいったのがコレ。部屋についた大きなバスタブ。タブに浸かりながら、テレビも見れるし、静かにオーシャンビューを楽しむこともできます。私、多分毎日ここに入っていたような。。。

I don’t care for sunbathing on the beach, but I do love walking on the beach in the morning or in the sunset.
毎日ビーチを歩きました。あの波の音、やっぱりいいですね。

This was an all-inclusive resort, and they had various restaurants and food options available, including Italian, Asian, Brazilian, buffet, pizza, burger, and taco stands, and this Mexican restaurant. We had dinner at this restaurant one night and the food was fabulous! Actually we were very happy with all the food we tried at this resort.
このリゾートは全て込みというリゾートなので、リゾート内にいろいろな食べ物のオプションがあります。イタリアンレストラン、アジアレストラン、ブラジリアンレストラン、メキシカンレストラン、ルームサービス、ビュッフェ、ピザ・タコス・ハンバーガースタンドなど。上写真はメキシカンレストラン。一度夕食をここでとりましたが、とっても美味しかったです。食事は全体的に二人とも大満足でした。私たちサービスのアップグレードをしたので、アルコール飲料も込みだったのですが、私一滴も飲みませんでした。テリーは時々ビールを楽しんでいたので良かったのですけどね。
Now we are back in Minnesota. I do miss the warm weather and beautiful beach, but I’m happy to be home. The weather has been quite mild here in Minnesota the past several days and I feel like this Christmas was the warmest Christmas I’ve ever had in Minnesota.
クリスマス前にミネソタに戻りました。メキシコの暖かい気候、美しいビーチは恋しいですが、やっぱりうちに戻るとほっとします。最近のミネソタは寒さがきつくなく、今年のクリスマスはこれまでのクリスマスで一番暖かかったのではないか、と思います。ないものねだりで、なければないで、ホワイトクリスマスが良かったなあ、なんて思ったりして。。。
