Whole Wheat Waffles
Breakfast, September 18, 2011Terry surprised me by getting us a new waffle maker last weekend! As the reviews suggested, this waffle maker is awesome! Look at these beautiful waffles. I love it. I used the recipe that came with the waffle maker. Corn meal and oats were added to the batter as well as whole wheat flour.

全粒粉ワッフル
２０１１年９月１８日先日仕事から帰ってきたら、テリー、なんだかとってもわくわくして、”今日は自分たちにプレゼントを買いに行く”、とのこと。
一緒に行く？と聞かれたので、行く、と言ったものの、ギャラリアというショッピングモールに行くと教えてくれるだけで、プレゼントが一体何かは？。
着いた先は、Crate&Barrel、というキッチン・インテリア用品のお店。
冗談で（つい最近ワッフルメーカー買ったばっかりだったので）、”新しいワッフルメーカー？”と聞くと、なんと当たり～！！
ポケットから出して見せてくれたのは、先日買ったばっかりのワッフルメーカー返品レシート！
なんとすでに返品もしてたらしい（笑）。で、こんな立派なワッフルメーカーを買ってしまった。
で、新しいワッフルメーカーで作ったのがこれ。
説明書についていたレシピで作った全粒粉入りワッフル。すっごくきれいにできて感激。
先週末は土曜日日曜日、と、二日続けてワッフルの朝食。
今週末もまた作るつもり～。

I’ve never tried adding other types of flour or meal to waffle batter – it sounds really interesting. By the way, I thought your new waffle maker was square – did you just put a smaller amount in the middle for these? It looks that way.
I’m going to have to make waffles soon – you’ve flung a craving on me! 🙂

They look wonderful. What a nice surprise. Try the Krusteaz Belgian waffle mix. It is really good.

Our new waffle maker was square, but it was too shallow and Terry said the waffles made from it were “sad looking”, so we returned it and got a new one. The new waffle maker is also square, but I just use the middle part as I’m too afraid of making a mess by putting too much batter.

Thank you, Bonnie! We use Krusteaz pancake mix, but I’never tried Belgian Waffle mix. We should definitely try it.
