Napa Cabbage Pot Stickers

Perfectly cooked pot stickers. I’m so proud of myself (lol). In my opinion, a perfect pot sticker should have a crispy bottom, the rest of the wrapper should be moist, and the filling should stay juicy. Just like these! I haven’t really mastered the skills yet, and I can cook them this nicely probably once in five times… Other four times the wrappers tend to stick to the frying pan… I know these are called “pot stickers” but it’s not fun when that actually happens!

東日本大震災・白菜餃子

大震災のニュース、こちらでも大きく取り上げられている。
私は出来るだけ沢山情報を入手しようと、こちらのメディアと日本のメディアと両方使いながら状況を見守っているところ。
地震は日本で何度も体験したことはあるものの、一番大きかったものが多分震度２ぐらいだったはず。
それでもかなり怖い思いをしたのに。。。
今回のマグニチュードの大きさ、津波のパワー、被害の悲惨さに、いまさらながら天災の恐ろしさを痛感する。
被災地域の方々には心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
救助を待っている方々には一刻も早く助けが届くことを祈ります。
（私の家族は中部地方で皆無事です。心配してくださった方、ありがとうございます。）
本日アップしているのは、キャベツの代わりに白菜を入れて作った餃子。
焼いてみるとほとんど違いが分からなかった（苦笑）。

The dumplings look great. The news from Japan is scary though. I’m glad your family is safe and sound – Terry let me know late Friday morning.

Thank you, Mick. It’s heartbreaking to see part of my beautiful country being destroyed like that and people suffering so much… I feel truly blessed, though, to hear so many kind and caring words from friends.

私も餃子をポストしたことあります。
ご家族の方が無事でなによりでした。私の家族は九州ですので、こちらも影響なしでした。日本の早い回復を祈ってます。

キレイな餃子。
海老やナッツをいれたものが好きで、一時期よく作っていたのですが、こんなにキレイに作れませんでした(笑)
地震の時は、東京でもずいぶん揺れました。日々悲惨な状況が明らかになって胸を痛めています。

餃子、私はよく焼くときに失敗するんですよ。
中身が全部出てきてしまったり、皮がフライパンにひっついて取れなくなったり。。。
今回は上手く焼きあがって嬉しかったです～。
地震、東京はかなり揺れたようですね。
日本の状況、見守ってますよ。
遠くからですが、少しずつ通常の生活に戻られることを応援してます。。。
