Christmas Lemon Cornmeal Cookies

It’s definitely getting cold here in Minnesota. But it has snowed only a few times this winter and there have not been too many days with freezing temperature like last year. I know some people are worried that we may not have a white Christmas this year, but I will be okay with non-white Christmas for a change. Snow would be pretty as a background for my beautiful Christmas trees, but I wouldn’t be exactly thrilled about the idea of shoveling snow on the Christmas morning…
Anyway, these are lemon cornmeal cookies I made last weekend. The cornmeal texture is quite interesting. I was planning to decorate them with lemon icing, but I still haven’t gotten to it; and there aren’t many left…
I used this recipe; I omitted raisins and added lemon zest.

今年はクリスマスツリーも二つ出したし少しずつクリスマス気分も盛り上がってきた、かな？
で、先週末は最近新しく買ったクッキー型を使ってクリスマスクッキー。
今回はレモンコーンミール味。
コーンミールのつぶつぶな歯ざわりが面白い。
アイシングでデコレーションをするつもりだったんだけれど、失敗するとナンなので（笑）、まずはアイシング前の写真をアップ。
アイシングはうまく出来たらアップするね～。
