Chicken and Fennel Wild Rice Soup

Wild rice is one of the popular foods that Minnesota proudly harvests here locally. I like wild rice because not only it’s local but also its texture is fun. Here is my chicken and fennel wild rice soup. It’s definitely one of my comfort foods I enjoy in the fall/winter time.

チキンとフェンネル入りワイルドライススープ

ワイルドライスはミネソタの名物といえる数少ない食べ物の一つ。
黒く細長いお米で、炊き上がるとぷちぷちっとした食感が特徴。
先日初めてワイルドライスがなっているのを湖で見つけたときはびっくりしてしまった。
まさか湖で栽培しているとは思わなかったので。。。
これはワイルドライスのクリームスープ。
鶏肉やフェンネルもたっぷり入れて。
お米が入ることでおなかが膨れるので、これとサラダだけで昼食なんかには十分。
