Egg Rice with Marinated Pollock Roe

Marinated pollock roe (spicy fish eggs) or “mentaiko” is a delicacy in Japan. There is no way to find it here in Minnesota, but I can get a packaged “mentaiko” sauce at the Japanese grocery store. It’s great with white rice, pasta, tofu, potato, and many other things. For this blog post mentaiko sauce was served over egg rice, which is also one of my comfort foods.

明太子のせ卵かけご飯

スパゲッティソース用として売っている明太子ソース、最近日本食料品店に行くとついつい買ってしまう。
ちょっと高めなんだけれど、日本人にはやっぱり懐かしい味。
これは明太子ソースを卵黄、醤油、（だし）で作った卵かけご飯にかけたもの。
私には超贅沢～なご飯！
