Butternut Squash Garlic Soup

Our refrigerator was giving us a headache the last few months, but last few weeks, it broke down so many times, and we finally decided to get rid of it. It’s so sad because this fridge was only four years old, and it was absolutely beautiful. We loved the look so much but it was totally unreliable. Now we are temporarily using our fridge downstairs to store food, but we really need to get a new one soon because I’m getting tired of running downstairs every time I need an egg or a slice of cheese… Hopefully we can find something we really like this weekend… Our old one was a side-by-side style, but I’m thinking of getting a french door style this time as I like the idea of having a wider space. We are also toying with the idea of getting a refrigeration-only fridge and a free-standing freezer separately (which we will probably keep in our laundry room right next to the kitchen). This will be a difficult decision to make…
By the way this is butternut squash garlic soup I made a few weeks ago. It was a perfect lunch when served with a cheese twist and a small green salad.

バターナッツスクオッシュガーリックスープ、チーズツイスト添え

数週間前に作ったスープ。
バターナッツスクオッシュというかぼちゃの一種が主役で、そこにたっぷりにんにくも加えたもの。
チーズツイストとサラダを添えたら立派なランチ。
ここ数ヶ月何度もエラーが出ていたうちの冷蔵庫、最近になって更にエラーが出る回数が多くなって、テリーも私もぶち切れて（笑）とうとう数日前に処分した。
たまたまレクリエーションルームに飲み物用の冷蔵庫があるので、そこに食品は移したものの、キッチンに冷蔵庫がないってものすごく不便（苦笑）。
卵１個にしてもチーズスライス一枚にしてもわざわざ下の階まで下りていかないといけない（いい運動になるんだけどね。。。）。
で、ここ数日は料理もほとんどしてない。。。
ということで、今週末はテリーと二人で真剣に新しい冷蔵庫の買い物に取り組む予定。
といってもいろいろオプションがあって悩むところ。
これまでは、冷蔵庫と冷凍庫が隣あったもの（左ドアーが冷凍庫で右ドアーが冷蔵庫）というのだったのだけれど、今度は、上部が冷蔵庫で下部が冷凍庫というのにしようか、それとも、全部冷蔵庫で、冷凍庫は別に買おうか、とか、冷蔵庫の部分は観音開きみたいなドアが二つのにしようか、それとも、全開きの一枚ドアーにしようか、などなど。。。
悩むわ～。
ちなみにたったの４年でお払い箱になってしまったうちの冷蔵庫はコチラ（少しディスペンサーの部分が違うけれどかなり近い感じ）。
