Banana Ice Cream with Brandy Chocolate Sauce

One of the foods Terry and I really enjoyed “unexpectedly” during our recent cruise trip was banana ice cream. It was one of the chocolate dessert series served at the steakhouse on the cruise ship. Neither one of us are big banana fans (I eat them once in a while, but I had never seen Terry eat banana or any banana flavored desserts), and we didn’t think we would like it. Surprisingly, it was our favorite among other chocolate desserts served with it.
Last weekend I decided to make my own banana ice cream. Well, I guess I went a little too far, and put probably a little too much banana. You can really taste banana in this ice cream, and unfortunately, Terry didn’t like it; he hardly touched it… So I enjoyed the rest of the ice cream with homemade brandy chocolate sauce , which was made with unsweetened chocolate, honey, brandy, and heavy cream.

ブランデーチョコレートソースがけバナナアイスクリーム

先月のクルーズ旅行での最中に食べて“意外にも美味しい！”、と思ったものの一つに、バナナアイスクリームがあった。
クルーズ船のステーキハウスで出されたチョコレートデザートの盛り合わせ。
いくつかの種類が出されたものの、テリーも私もバナナアイスクリームが気に入ってしまった。
（確か、チョコレートムースと一緒に出されていたと思う。）
テリーも私もバナナは特別好きな果物ではないので、これは本人達がびっくり。
テリーはフレッシュなバナナもバナナ味のお菓子も絶対手を出さないので、不思議よね。。。
で、先週末、私もバナナのアイスクリームを作ってみた。
ちょっと調子に乗って、バナナを入れすぎたら、テリーには大不評。。。
唇についたかつかないかで、却下されてしまった。
で、もちろん私が平らげましたよ～（盛った分はね。まだ少し残っている。。。）。
ブランデー風味のチョコレートソースをかけて。

ちなみに、この器は、メキシコのコズメル島で見つけて即気に入ってしまったもの。
地元で作りました～！、といった感じの素朴な色合いと柄に魅せられてしまって。
私、青いお皿に目がないの、分かる（笑）？
