Cookie Cheese Balls

I love the girl scout’s cookies. Terry and I purchased five boxes from our neighbor this year. Terry likes the lemon cream one. My favorite is the one with coconut, caramel, and chocolate. They are good as they are, but I thought it would be fun to grind them fine and mix it with cream cheese. Here they are. I coated some of them with cocoa powder, and the others with toasted coconut flakes. Aren’t they pretty?

クッキーチーズボール

ガールスカウトが寄付金集めとして売りに来るクッキーが実は結構美味しい。
先日近所の女の子がお父さんと一緒に、このガールスカウトクッキーを持ってやってきた。
この女の子、目がくりくりっとして、礼儀正しくって、とっても可愛い。
テリーも私もすっかりメロメロ。
あれも、これも、と結局５箱もお買い上げ（笑）。
いろいろ種類があるんだけれど、テリーが好きなのはレモンクリームが挟まったもの。
私の好きなのは、リング状になったもので、キャラメル、チョコレート、ココナッツがついたもの。
私のお気に入りのクッキー、そのまま食べても美味しいんだけれど、数日前急に何を思ったか、これにクリームチーズをあわせたらより美味しそう、という発想から、気がついたら、フードプロセッサーでクッキーを粉々にしてそこにチーズクリームを加えていた。。。
冷蔵庫で冷やしたら、小さいボール状に丸めて、ココアパウダーとトーストしたココナッツフレークをつけて出来上がり。
冷やして食べるとコレがなかなかイケる。
溶かしたチョコレートでコーティングしてもいいかも。
そういえば昨日はホワイト・デー。
アメリカにはホワイト・デーというものは無い。
っていうか、うちはバレンタインズ・デーに夫にチョコレート渡してなかったね。。。
ということもあって、コレが私の自分用へのホワイト・デースイーツ（笑）。
