My First Lasagna
Dinner December 30, 2008
Terry’s best friend, Rob, and his family were visiting his parents back in MN, and Terry and I got to see them the night before New Year’s Eve. It was great to see Terry being able to catch up with Rob. I also enjoyed very much spending time with Jennifer; she is smart, friendly, and fun. I really wish they lived closer so that we would be able to meet more often, not every three years… Their children, Kevin and Jessica, were also a lot of fun to spend time with. They are both very talented piano players! I made lasagna for dinner that night. It was my first time to make lasagna. I think it turned out okay. I should ask my sisters-in-law for their recipes. They make the best lasagna!

ラザニア初挑戦
夕食 ２００８年１２月３０日
夫テリーの子供の頃からの親友、ロブがカリフォルニアから帰郷していて、先月３０日にうちに遊びにきてくれた。
ロブと彼の奥様ジェニファー、二人ともとっても気さくで、会えば、３～４年ぶりなんていうのを感じさせず、いつも会っている親友のように話せてしまえるところが嬉しい。
彼らには７歳と１１歳になる子供がいることもあって、この日の夕食はラザニアに決定（何となくラザニアって子供にも人気かな、という私の思い込みより（笑））。
実はラザニア、私は初挑戦。
正統ラザニアはリコッタチーズが入るらしいんだけれど、“リコッタチーズは絶対入れないでね！”というテリーの言葉を尊重して、リコッタチーズの代わりに、ホワイトソースを入れてみた。
（私もリコッタチーズって苦手なんだけれど、先日あるウエブサイトで、イタリア食料品店で売っているリコッタチーズは普通のスーパーのものより何倍も美味しい、というのを見て、本場ものを今度は試してみたいと思っている。）
食卓に出すのはどきどきものだったけれど、１１歳になるケビン、“美味しい”、とおかわりしてくれて、ほっとした私（笑）。
もっと頻繁に会いたい家族なんだけれど、さすがにカリフォルニアとミネソタ。。。
