Hummus
Since we switched to the 95% plant-based diet, we started eating a lot more beans. I love beans and I don’t know why I didn’t eat more before. I enjoy making hummus a lot but I also use other types of beans to make hummus-like paste or simply puree and flavor them with various spices, herbs, sauces, or/and oil. Using hummus or bean paste as a spread for sandwiches has become the norm at our house. Who needs mayo! A few things I do a bit differently to make my hummus are; one, I use cooked garlic instead of raw garlic, and two I add a pinch of sugar. I just like it this way.
