<\/a><\/p>\nGrand Cafe<\/strong> I heard about this place on the Minnesota Public Radio the other day when they had a show about local restaurants. The guests were giving this cafe very positive reviews, and I was excited to visit. Terry and I went this morning for brunch. I had Eggs en Cocotte, and Terry had Huevoes Rancheros. The cream in the cocotte had a wonderful flavor (and I would have liked a little more in my cocotte!), and the combination of cream, eggs, ham, cheese, and puff pastry was good. However, I would have liked my eggs a little less cooked personally (I tend to like my eggs less cooked than most others would prefer here, I guess), and I would have also liked it served with some kind of fresh vegetables, like a small portion of salad or even fresh fruit. The cocotte was served with a toast. It was a good bread, but it was a little too much carb for me (puff pastry and bread). I really wanted to like this place, but I don’t think I’ll go back for brunch, maybe for dinner… Too bad, as I loved their hip decor and atmosphere, which is hard to find in our suburban neighborhood.<\/p>\n Grand Cafe Please help us promote our blog by clicking on the following button.
