Father Hennepin Festival<\/strong>

Our niece, Kayla, is visiting Minnesota from Arkansas this month, and Terry and I are lucky to be able to spend a few days with her this week. We heard that our other niece, Amanda, would be in the parade at Father Hennepin Festival, so we decided to go see her yesterday afternoon. It was great to see Amanda in her school band and to see other family members who were also there to see Amanda. After the festival, Terry and I enjoyed various fair foods: cheese curds, a corn dog, a hamburger, and mini donuts. The cheese curds were greasy as they were supposed to be and absolutely delicious. We then watched Kayla trying several different rides. I went on one ride with her; it had been over 20 years since last time I was on a ride like that. Kayla said it was not a scary one and even a small child could go on that ride. I thought I’d fly out a few times, but it was a lot of fun.<\/p>\n
