Mushroom Lentil Chili<br \/>\n&#8211; Salad with Mustard Dressing<br \/>\n&#8211; Corn Bread with Vegan Butter<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45613 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/31.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/31-450x322.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I got my red dishes out.<\/p>\n<p>The real color is a bit darker than how it looks in the picture (at least on my computer screen).<\/p>\n<p>I like to use this set of dishes when we have people over, not only because we have 8 of everything, but also the color red is supposed to help stimulate appetite, and more than anything any food seems to look better on this plate or in this bowl.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45614 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/36.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t have time to take pictures yesterday, so this is a plate I re-created this morning.<\/p>\n<p>I thought I made too big of a batch of chili, but this was all left!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45615 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/35.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=44372&#038;lang=en\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">This corn bread<\/a> is moist and flavorful, but not too sweet, and accompanies chili very well.<\/p>\n<p>This was served with my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=45089&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">my homemade vegan butter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All the guests tried it, and they told us that they would have not known it was not the real butter if we had not told them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45616 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/40.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"365\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The guests told us that they liked the food.<\/p>\n<p>Some of them went for the second helping, asked me for the recipe, and we had a fun conversation about food in general.<\/p>\n<p>I was grateful for their open-mindedness and their willingness to try new things.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45617 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/43-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/43-1.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/43-1-450x321.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now I relax and enjoy my morning green tea.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45618 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/42-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/42-1.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/42-1-450x321.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Happy Sunday everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now we are on a 100% plant-based diet.
