{"id":45579,"date":"2017-10-09T22:36:27","date_gmt":"2017-10-10T02:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=45579"},"modified":"2017-10-09T22:36:27","modified_gmt":"2017-10-10T02:36:27","slug":"lemon-herb-tempeh%e3%83%ac%e3%83%a2%e3%83%b3%e3%83%8f%e3%83%bc%e3%83%96%e3%83%86%e3%83%b3%e3%83%9a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=45579&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Lemon Herb Tempeh<br>\u30ec\u30e2\u30f3\u30cf\u30fc\u30d6\u30c6\u30f3\u30da"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45580 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/26-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I usually flavor my tempeh with Teriyaki sauce, but this time I wanted to try something different.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45581 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/11-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/11-1.jpg 547w, https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/11-1-321x450.jpg 321w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45582 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/12-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I marinated tempeh cubes overnight.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45583 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is how it looked when cooked the next day.<\/p>\n<p>It turned out to be DELICIOUS!!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s funny that I say this, but it was so much better than I had hoped for (lol).<\/p>\n<p>I know some people would name this &#8220;vegan lemon herb chicken&#8221;, but I&#8217;m sticking with my decision to honor tempeh as what it is and not treating it as a fake meat.<\/p>\n<p>Actually, this is better than chicken, in my opinion!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45584 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/25-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I made this beautiful bowl with my lemon herb tempeh along with rice and vegetables.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45585 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/30.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Doesn&#8217;t it look great?<\/p>\n<p>Super flavorful, and I liked its texture too.<\/p>\n<p>For this particular tempeh dish, I like to use the Lightlife brand (Original).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just recently started trying out different brands, and I realized that not all the tempeh are the same.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t measure the ingredients, but I&#8217;ll list the ingredients here for my own note.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lemon Herb Tempeh<\/strong><br \/>\n-Lightlife Original tempeh cut into small cubes<br \/>\n-1st marinade: olive oil, nutritional yeast, sugar, salt and pepper, Italian seasoning, a bay leaf<br \/>\n-2nd marinade: olive oil, white vinegar, lemon juice, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt and pepper (if needed)<\/p>\n<p>Marinate tempeh overnight. Cook on a frying pan until browned.
