{"id":42343,"date":"2016-12-06T20:42:52","date_gmt":"2016-12-07T01:42:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42343"},"modified":"2016-12-06T20:42:52","modified_gmt":"2016-12-07T01:42:52","slug":"rice-salad%e3%81%94%e3%81%af%e3%82%93%e3%82%b5%e3%83%a9%e3%83%80","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42343&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Rice Salad<br>\u3054\u306f\u3093\u30b5\u30e9\u30c0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42344 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/17-2.jpg\" alt=\"17\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I like salad, but I often feel &#8220;cheated&#8221; (lol) when the main meal is a salad.<\/p>\n<p>My solution to it is adding cooked rice to veggies.<\/p>\n<p>Just having a little rice makes the salad so much more satisfying, in my opinion.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42345 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/14-1.jpg\" alt=\"14\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you can see there are a lot of vegetables in this bowl, but the star of this salad is the roasted sweet potatoes.<\/p>\n<p>Terry bought some at the local farmers market for me.<\/p>\n<p>When I saw them, I was not very happy, because they did not look &#8220;pretty&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>They looked somewhat deformed and dirty still covered with dirt.<\/p>\n<p>But what a surprise (or not so)!<\/p>\n<p>These were the best sweet potatoes ever.<\/p>\n<p>When I roasted them, they turned out perfectly sweet, and the texture was just right, not too wet or mushy.<\/p>\n<p>I could have eaten a whole sheet panful of them as they were, without any dressing, sauce, syrup, or butter.<\/p>\n<p>They were that good.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42346 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/16.jpg\" alt=\"16\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was able to keep some of them for our lunch salad.<\/p>\n<p>In this bowl are Japanese white rice, roasted sweet potatoes, avocado, tomatoes, persimmons, napa cabbage, and spinach.<\/p>\n<p>This was served with lime tahini dressing (and soy sauce; I have to have soy sauce for my avocados!
