{"id":42275,"date":"2016-11-28T20:41:34","date_gmt":"2016-11-29T01:41:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42275"},"modified":"2016-11-28T20:41:34","modified_gmt":"2016-11-29T01:41:34","slug":"edamame-pot-stickers%e6%9e%9d%e8%b1%86%e9%a4%83%e5%ad%90-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42275&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Edamame Pot Stickers<br>\u679d\u8c46\u9903\u5b50"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42276 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/47.jpg\" alt=\"47\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I love pot stickers and this is something I was not going to give up when we decided to be on the 95% plant based diet.<\/p>\n<p>So I&#8217;ve tried making different no-meat pot stickers, and so far these edamame ones are my favorite.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42277 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/38.jpg\" alt=\"38\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Look at this bright green color!<\/p>\n<p>It was exciting!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42278 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/40.jpg\" alt=\"40\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And pot-sticker making is one of my favorite food preparations.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s always fun to make these, although I do miss my mom I would love to have next to me helping making some.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42279 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/41.jpg\" alt=\"41\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then I line them up like good soldiers on my trusted Zojirushi hot plate.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42280 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/42.jpg\" alt=\"42\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Because of the coating you don&#8217;t have to worry about your pot stickers sticking to the pan, and you also don&#8217;t need a lot of oil.<\/p>\n<p>Still they get browned fast and beautifully.<\/p>\n<p>Add some hot water, cover with a lid, and wait.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42281 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/45.jpg\" alt=\"45\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since there is nothing that needs to be cooked through inside the wrappers, you don&#8217;t have to wait too long, which is a good thing.<\/p>\n<p>They look absolutely beautiful!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42282 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/46.jpg\" alt=\"46\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t expect it, but the green color of the filling really came through wonderfully, which was an added bonus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42284 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/48.jpg\" alt=\"48\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Edamame Pot Stickers<\/p>\n<p>filling<br \/>\n1.5 cups cooked edamame<br \/>\n1.5 cups cooked and chopped cabbage<br \/>\n3 cloves garlic, grated<br \/>\n1~2 teaspoons grated ginger<br \/>\n3~4 tablespoons chopped Chinese garlic chives<br \/>\n2~3 tablespoons chopped scallion<br \/>\nsalt and pepper<br \/>\nsoy sauce<br \/>\nsesame oil<br \/>\npot sticker wrappers<br \/>\ncanola oil for frying<br \/>\nsauce (soy sauce, white vinegar, pepper jam from Trader Joe&#8217;s)<\/p>\n<p>1. Make filling. Combine all the ingredients. Mix well.<br \/>\n2. Make pot stickers by filling the wrappers with the filling and sealing the edges tightly with water.<br \/>\n3. Cook the pot stickers on a hot plate at 350F with oil until the bottom is browned. Add hot water and cover with a lid. Continue to cook for a few minutes.<br \/>\n4.
