{"id":42255,"date":"2016-11-26T23:13:49","date_gmt":"2016-11-27T04:13:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42255"},"modified":"2016-11-26T23:24:52","modified_gmt":"2016-11-27T04:24:52","slug":"panda-bento%e3%83%91%e3%83%b3%e3%83%80%e5%bc%81%e5%bd%93","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42255&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Panda Bento<br>\u30d1\u30f3\u30c0\u5f01\u5f53"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42270 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/18-3.jpg\" alt=\"18\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another weekend and another Bento lunch box.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42257 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/06.jpg\" alt=\"06\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/06.jpg 547w, https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/06-321x450.jpg 321w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Before I talk about the obvious two black and white guys in the first picture, I want to talk about the main dish of this Bento box.<\/p>\n<p>This is a Japanese product called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maisenfinefood.com.hk\/index.php?route=product\/product&amp;path=61&amp;product_id=71\" target=\"_blank\">Just Like Meat<\/a> made of only soy beans and brown rice and has a meat-like texture when cooked.<\/p>\n<p>I cooked them first in salted boiled water, soaked them in soy flavored soup, sauteed\/browned, and then served with sesame soy teriyaki-like sauce.<\/p>\n<p>The texture is amazing, and I love the simple ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>I tend to stay away from &#8220;vegan meat&#8221; but because of these reasons, I have to say this is probably one of my favorite vegan meat products.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42258 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/16-4.jpg\" alt=\"16\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this Bento box you&#8217;ll also find roasted pepper cabbage salad, lemon marinated persimmon, and peas.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42259 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/15-5.jpg\" alt=\"15\" width=\"568\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Okay, now let&#8217;s talk about these guys.<\/p>\n<p>So I found this product that you can use to make panda bears with rice and seaweed.<\/p>\n<p>Even though I bought it, I was a bit skeptical.<\/p>\n<p>Well, this is genius!!<\/p>\n<p>It worked and it was fairly easy to use.<\/p>\n<p>I still need to improve my face-making skills, but they turned out pretty good for the first try.
