{"id":42009,"date":"2016-10-28T20:24:54","date_gmt":"2016-10-29T00:24:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42009"},"modified":"2016-10-28T21:13:08","modified_gmt":"2016-10-29T01:13:08","slug":"veggie-ramen%e3%81%93%e3%81%a3%e3%81%a6%e3%82%8a%e3%82%b9%e3%83%bc%e3%83%97%e3%83%99%e3%82%b8%e3%82%89%e3%83%bc%e3%82%81%e3%82%93","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=42009&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Veggie Ramen<br>\u3053\u3063\u3066\u308a\u30b9\u30fc\u30d7\u30d9\u30b8\u3089\u30fc\u3081\u3093"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42010 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/37.jpg\" alt=\"37\" width=\"596\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were planning to check out a new local ramen restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>I decided to quickly check their website to make sure they were open for lunch while putting our coat on, and I found out that the restaurant itself was not even open yet!<\/p>\n<p>Good thing we checked.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42011 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/34.jpg\" alt=\"34\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since I was already in the mood for ramen, I made it myself.<\/p>\n<p>This is vegan ramen, yet the soup is rich and super flavorful.<\/p>\n<p>This delicious ramen was served with a lot of sauteed vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>I did some experiment by using the ramen noodle made of rice flour we found at Costco.<\/p>\n<p>It was certainly different from the regular ramen noodle but wasn&#8217;t bad.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not on a gluten-free diet, but it would be a good option for people who are.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42012 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/38.jpg\" alt=\"38\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Veggie Ramen 2 servings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>soup<br \/>\n&#8211; canola oil<br \/>\n&#8211; 4 cloves garlic, cut in half<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 onion, sliced<br \/>\n&#8211; 1~2 tablespoons sugar<br \/>\n&#8211; 4 cups water<br \/>\n&#8211; 2 tablespoons Shio-Kombu (salted Japanese seaweed) in a tea-bag<br \/>\n&#8211; 1~2 tablespoons soy sauce<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 teaspoon tahini<br \/>\n&#8211; salt and pepper<br \/>\n200g cooked ramen noodle<br \/>\nsauteed vegetables<br \/>\nroasted seaweed<br \/>\nJapanese red ginger<\/p>\n<p>1. Sautee garlic and onion in oil.<br \/>\n2. Add sugar and continue to cook until the onion is caramelized.<br \/>\n3. Add water and Shio-kombu. Boil and then turn down to low heat. Continue to cook.<br \/>\n4. Take the bag of Shio-kombu. Puree the garlic and onion by using a hand blender.<br \/>\n5. Add soy sauce, tahini, salt, and pepper.<br \/>\n6. Place noodle in a bowl. Pour the soup.<br \/>\n7.
