Let&#8217;s go back to the ginger orange soda.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39767 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/39-2.jpg\" alt=\"39\" width=\"510\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Growing up in Japan, we didn&#8217;t drink a lot of soda.<\/p>\n<p>But my mom would let me and my sister choose a flavored soda after our swimming lesson.<\/p>\n<p>She knew that I was always so reluctant to go to the class.<\/p>\n<p>I still don&#8217;t drink a lot of soda, and when I actually drink store-bought soda, the flavor is a bit too strong to me.<\/p>\n<p>Homemade soda like this one is perfect for me.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s so fresh and absolutely delicious.<\/p>\n<p>(By the way, my choice of soda during my childhood was Fanta Grape.)<\/p>\n<p>Check out what other cool things (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=34547&#038;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=31747&#038;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=28936&#038;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>), you can make when life gives you oranges.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39768 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/35.jpg\" alt=\"35\" width=\"596\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"recipe\">\n<p><strong>Ginger Orange Soda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ginger syrup<br \/>\n&#8211; 1\/2 cup sugar<br \/>\n&#8211; 1\/2 cup water<br \/>\n&#8211; 2 tablespoons ginger slices<br \/>\n1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice; I used 7 oranges<br \/>\n1 lemon, juice<br \/>\n1\/2 cup soda water<br \/>\nice cubes<br \/>\norange slices, for garnish<br \/>\nmint, for garnish<\/p>\n<p>1. Make ginger syrup. Combine all the ingredients in a pot. Boil and then remove from heat. Let it cool.<br \/>\n2. Combine orange juice, lemon juice, and soda water.<br \/>\n3. Add the ginger syrup one tablespoon at a time. Taste and continue to add until it achieves your preferred sweetness. You probably do not need all.<br \/>\n4. Serve over ice cubes.
