Japanese curry.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Curry is super popular in japan, and many of my great childhood memories are associated with eating curry with family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>So I still make Japanese curry once in a while.<\/p>\n<p>The day you make the curry you eat it with white rice.<\/p>\n<p>And the next day you eat it with udon noodle.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s just how it is.<\/p>\n<div id=\"recipe\"><strong>Udon Curry with Cauliflower Tempura<\/strong>curry soup<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 ~ 1.5 cup water<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 bag of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=35765\" target=\"_blank\">dashi<\/a> or 1 tablespoon of Hondashi (japanese fish soup base)<br \/>\n&#8211; 2~3 cubes Japanese curry roux<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 teaspoon sugar<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 teaspoon soy sauce<br \/>\ncauliflower tempura<br \/>\n&#8211; 1\/2 cup cauliflower, cut into bite size pieces<br \/>\n&#8211; tempura batter (cold water and flour)<br \/>\n&#8211; canola oil<br \/>\n100g udon noodle, cooked<br \/>\n1 hard boiled egg<br \/>\n1 tablespoon chopped scallion<\/p>\n<p>1. Make curry soup. Combine water and dashi. Boil and reduce to low heat. Add curry cubes, sugar, and soy sauce. Whisk and continue to cook until it slightly thickens.<br \/>\n2. Make cauliflower tempura. Dip cauliflower into the batter. Deep fry in canola oil.<br \/>\n3. Serve curry soup with udon noodle, tempura, an egg, and scallion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/1041.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[36430]\"><img
