{"id":35350,"date":"2015-04-16T23:10:00","date_gmt":"2015-04-17T03:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=35350"},"modified":"2015-04-22T22:40:17","modified_gmt":"2015-04-23T02:40:17","slug":"black-pepper-cheddar-bread%e9%bb%92%e8%83%a1%e6%a4%92%e3%83%81%e3%82%a7%e3%83%80%e3%83%bc%e3%83%96%e3%83%ac%e3%83%83%e3%83%89","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=35350&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Black Pepper Cheddar Bread<br>\u9ed2\u80e1\u6912\u30c1\u30a7\u30c0\u30fc\u30d6\u30ec\u30c3\u30c9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/6191.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[35350]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35351 aligncenter\" alt=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/6191.jpg\" width=\"506\" height=\"717\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Black Pepper Cheddar Bread<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When I was asked to bring bread to the family Easter dinner, I couldn&#8217;t decide what kinds of bread I wanted to bring. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So, I ended up baking two kinds of bread. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinarytribune.com\/?p=35217\" target=\"_blank\">The orange cranberry hot cross buns<\/a> and this black pepper cheddar bread.<\/p>\n<p>Some people liked the sweet and soft buns and others like this cheesy one. <\/p>\n<p>The key is to sprinkle a generous amount of black pepper. <\/p>\n<p>I like making this bread, especially when I get to watch the gooey cheese come out of the bread and bubble on top while being baked.  <\/p>\n<div id=\"recipe\"><strong>Black Pepper Cheddar Bread (makes 2 loaves)<\/strong> adapted from the Boule recipe in &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Artisan-Bread-Five-Minutes-Revolutionizes\/dp\/0312362919\" target=\"_blank\">Artisan Bread in Five Minutes A Day<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>1.5 cup warm water<br \/>\n3\/4 tablespoon dry yeast<br \/>\n3\/4 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n3 cups all purpose flour<br \/>\n1\/2 cup cubed cheddar cheese<br \/>\nblack pepper<br \/>\n1\/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese<\/p>\n<p>1. Put warm water in a large container.<br \/>\n2. Add yeast and salt, and mix well.<br \/>\n3. Add flour and mix well with a wooden spoon.<br \/>\n4. Cover with a lid (not airtight) and let it rise in a container until it&#8217;s double in size, for about two hours.<br \/>\n5. Refrigerate overnight.<br \/>\n6. Form two balls. Roll them out. Place cheese cubes. Roll them up to make two logs. Let them rise for 40 minutes.<br \/>\n7. Preheat oven with a pizza stone and a broiler pan inside to 450 F twenty minutes before baking.<br \/>\n8. Slash a line in the middle of the top with a sharp knife. Sprinkle black pepper. Put the loaf on the pizza stone. Put a cup of hot water into the broiler pan.<br \/>\n9. Bake for 20 minutes. Place shredded cheese on top.
