I’ve seen restaurants serving this type of Danish cakes for breakfast on TV. I was always interested but I didn’t think I could make something like this at home. Then I found a recipe<\/a> for Danish Puffcake in a magazine that my mother-in-law gave me last weekend and I was looking forward to making this the whole week. Today Terry and I woke up early (on Saturday!) for some reason, and I decided to make this for breakfast.<\/p>\n

It was the easiest thing I’ve ever made, and it puffed up beautifully in the oven. It was puffy, crispy, and perfect for breakfast. Serving it with melted butter, lemon juice, powdered sugar, and some kind of fruit was suggested in the magazine. I tried my puffcake just like that (with blueberries) with a drizzle of maple syrup, and it was delicious.<\/p>\n
