I used to go fishing when I lived in upstate New York years ago, and I caught a lot of seaweed but not many fish&#8230; But don&#8217;t let the name fool you. This pasta is super tasty and I don&#8217;t miss fish. It has become one of my favorite summer time pasta dish. The seaweed used here is called &#8220;hijiki&#8221;. Hijiki has a nice texture and gives a pleasant flavor that gently reminds you of the ocean. The raw tomato sauce is also one of my favorite summer sauces. It&#8217;s made from raw tomatoes, cooked garlic, and salt.
