When I found sausage and cabbage in my fridge, I thought maybe I could make something German(like). Red cabbage and apples were sauteed with oil, and then continued to cook with sugar, apple vinegar, thyme, salt, and pepper. I&#8217;m not sure if it&#8217;s even remotely close to any German dish, but I enjoyed it very much. I really liked the vinegar flavor in the cabbage and apples. If you decide to make this, don&#8217;t forget good quality mustard! The bright purple color of the cabbage seems almost too purple for food!
