<\/a><\/p>\nChicken and Avocado Rice Bowl<\/strong> There was a show on Food Network about a year ago where people competed for financial resources in order to start a fast food restaurant with a concept of their own. One guy had an idea of opening a restaurant that would feature his famous meatballs, and other contestants restaurant ideas included Indian food, grilled cheese sandwiches, and healthy(!) Southern food… Terry and I enjoyed watching this show very much, and I’m pretty sure I was not the only one who imagined opening own restaurant when watching this show. I have an experience of working in the commercial kitchen and I’m not interested in having food business myself. But IF (and it’s a big “IF”) I ever opened a fast food restaurant, I would open a rice bowl restaurant where I would serve all different kinds of rice bowls with different flavors, like Asian, Italian, Indian, etc. You could have meat, fish, seafood, and I would have several killer vegetarian bowls as well. I would have different kinds of rice and grains available so that people would be able to pick and choose and mix depending on their mood. Yes, I have to admit, thinking about this is kind of fun!<\/p>\n Here is my recent rice bowl creation. Chicken and avocado were served on top of white rice with basil, red onion, and dry seaweed. The sauce was made with ginger, dark miso, soy sauce, sugar, honey, vinegar, and salad oil. This was fresh and tasty and just the way I like my rice bowl.
