Daikon radish is a Japanese white-colored long radish. It&#8217;s used for various dishes, including salad, soup, and stew like the one I made this weekend (photo: below). Terry is not a big radish eater, and I knew he would not try the daikon radish if I cooked it the traditional way like this stew. So I made curry stew using the daikon radish and pork and served it over rice. Meat and vegetable curry is a popular dish in Japan, but I&#8217;d never tried curry with daikon radish in it. So it was the first experience for myself as well.
