Strawberry Crostini<\/strong>
\nApril 25, 2010<\/em><\/p>\n

A mixture of strawberries, Mascarpone cheese, cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice was spread over a toasted crusty bread slice. Spoon strawberry compote (strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest) over the crostini and sprinkle chopped pistachio.<\/p>\n

My mother-in-law knows that I love cooking magazines, and she generously brought me these (photos: below) the other day. She said she had found them at a garage sale, and some of them are from 1985! It’s so interesting to look at them. You can definitely see the trends at that time from their articles, photos, and ads. I already found great recipes, too, and I can’t wait to try them. <\/p>\n
