Lemon Pudding Cake<\/strong>
\nMarch 28, 2010<\/em><\/p>\n

I saw Tyler Florence making this pudding, and I wanted to try right away. Terry likes anything citrus-flavored, and I’m always looking for good lemon flavored dessert recipes. Unfortunately this turned out a bit different from what I had expected. The pudding was baked beautifully when I looked at the top, but when I took a bite, I noticed right away that it was separated into two layers; the upper part was a very light cake, and the bottom part was custard. I assume the whole thing should taste like a mixture of cake and custard, and not completly separated like mine. When I think about it, there were a few things that I probably didn’t do correctly, including letting the pudding mixture in the ramekins for too long before baking (I forgot to turn on the oven beforehand). Terry didn’t eat much, but I actually enjoyed it, as long as I tell myself it’s not a pudding cake, but a lemon cake with lemon custard… <\/p>\n
