The weather has been just so beautiful here in the Twin Cities, and I wanted to find a place where we could enjoy lunch outdoors.
Who knew? One of the places recommended by many people (online) was in our own city.
So we went for a short drive to get to Como Park.
When we got there, we were hungry and ready to eat.
You order and pay for your food at the counter and wait at the table for your number to be called.
This place is large and there are a lot of tables along the edge overlooking Lake Como.
The menu is New Orleans influenced, and there are a lot of interesting and vegan/vegetarian options, which was appealing to me.
But this time we had our minds set on this non-vegan dish.
Yes, Seafood Boil!
We had a bucketful of shrimp, mussels, crawfish, andouille sausage, potatoes, and corn.
They were delicious and a perfect outdoor meal!
We really enjoyed it.
We then walked to Como Zoo which is located next to the park, looked at some animals, and then came back to the restaurant.
We just couldn’t leave without trying their beignets.
They were so good and went perfectly with a cup of coffee.
It’s definitely one of the best settings for lunch outdoors on a beautiful summer day in Minnesota.
I’m on Instagram.
