This is probably one of my favorite pita sandwiches!
Last weekend I baked pita bread.
I baked them a bit too long and they turned out to be a little harder than usual.
But I think it actually worked well for this sandwich.
I had beautiful strawberries and they were just meant to be together (lol).
You may be wondering what the dark paste is around the strawberries.
Well, this is the best part!
It’s Japanese sweet red bean paste.
It’s quite sweet by itself, but with the fresh strawberries and crunchy pita bread, this was just absolutely perfect!
1 pita bread (preferably freshly baked and a bit crunchy), cut in half
1/3~1/2 cup sweet red bean paste
1/2 cup sliced strawberries1. Stuff pita bread with sweet red bean paste and strawberries.
I also made some light mini-bite snack with leftover ingredients.
These were cute and delicious, too!
