Baby Bok Choy with Sesame Sauce
When I go to the local Asian grocery store, called, Unite Noodles, after checking the Japanese section, I always stop at the produce section.
There are several things I specifically look for, and this baby bok choy is one of them.
They always have fresh ones and they are cheap.
I usually like eating it fresh in salad or sautee it with other vegetables and tofu.
But this time I decided to boil it.
I shouldn’t really say “boil” because you don’t want to let it swim in the hot water too long.
It’s rather blanching as you want the bok choy to be cooked in the hot water for only a few seconds.
And then make sure you “shock” it with cold water to stop the cooking process.
This bright green color is so beautiful and appetizing!
This was served with sesame sauce made of tahini, roasted sesame seeds, and other ingredients.
This was so good. I couldn’t believe I could eat so much vegetable in one meal!
