Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Hawaiian Jam

I know grilled cheese sandwich is a comfort food for many Americans, including my husband.

But having grown up in Japan, to me a comfort food is a bit different. It’s more like a rice bowl with seaweed and soy sauce (lol).

So I don’t feel too nostalgic about grilled cheese sandwich, and when I decide to have one, I want something more than just bread and cheese.

A few weeks ago when I was in a rare grilled cheese mood, I decided to add my homemade Hawaiian Jam.

It turned out to be super tasty!!

I always like to have some kind of vegetable or fruit in my food, and this Hawaiian jam gives this sandwich nice freshness and wakes up your taste buds.

グリルチーズサンドイッチ、

アメリカでは、ちょっとびっくりするほど人気。

食パンにチーズスライスを挟んで、フライパンで両面こんがり焼き色がつくまで焼いたら出来上がり。

パンを焦がさず中のチーズがとろ～りととろけさせるのがコツ。

（私はついつい強火で焼いてパンを焦がしがち。。）

子供のころから食べて育ったわけではない私にとっては、ナツカシイ～！、という子供のころの思い出なんかが詰まったわけではないこともあって、

特に食べたい、と思うものではないのですが、

テリーが好きだし、ときど～き作ります。

でも、私の場合、チーズだけ、というのは、なんとも面白味がなく（笑）、

ついつい何か他に入れたくなるんですよね～。

で、先日作ったハワイジャム、これを入れて作ってみました。

コレ、テリーに大大好評～！

私もかなり気に入ってしまいました。

甘酸っぱいパイナップルにチーズ、ベーコン、という組み合わせ。

美味しくないわけがない（笑）！！
