  • Oh yes, we’re BIG on tamarind chutney here. We also have a family recipe for a walnut cake that’s slathered with sweet tamarind chutney all over. Now that you’ve made your own, try using it in curries and even on rotis or corn tortillas with a spicy sabji!

    A walnut cake sounds really delicious!! I should find a recipe. I used my tamarind chutney for a vegetable pita sandwich, and it was so tasty!

  • I can never get enough of the sweet and sour tamarind chutney. Even now it is sitting pretty in my refrigerator! I love its versatility. It is omni present in most north Indian ‘chaats’ (a kind of Indian street food)

    You know, when I was doing some research for tamarind chutney, I run into “chaats”. I was wondering what it was!
