Tonight Terry’s dad, George, and his wife, Sharon, took Terry and I for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful meal at Jax Cafe. Sharon and I had prime rib and George and Terry had filet mignon. Both were excellent! I liked the classy steakhouse decor and their very professional service as well as the food. George and Sharon got us a great table right by the window, and the view of their backyard was absolutely beautiful with lights and Christmas decorations. This place has now become Terry and my favorite steakhouse. We will definitely go back. George and Sharon, thank you again!

夕食　２００８年１２月２０日

今夜は、私の誕生日を祝ってくださる、ということで、義父夫婦の招待で夕食をごちそうになった。

訪れたのは、Jax Cafe（ジャックス・カフェ）というステーキハウス。

ステーキが好き、という私の好みを覚えていてくれての選択。

テリーはフィレミニョンステーキ、私はプライムリブステーキ、どちらも（彼のも一口もらったからね）と～っても美味しく満足。

いわゆる正統派ステーキハウス、といった趣のお店。

ピアノの生演奏があって、ジャズ、クリスマスソングを中心のバックグラウンドミュージックも楽しめて。

しかも誕生日祝いということで、お店からろうそくが一本たったチョコレートケーキを食後に出してもらった時には、ピアノ奏者が静かにハッピーバースデイの曲を何気（なにげ）に演奏してくれるというニクいサービス（ウエイトレスやウエイターが全員集まって派手に歌うというパフォーマンスはナシ。ほっ（笑））。

今日は一日中こんこんと雪が降り続け。

食事に出かけた時にはやんでいたものの、かなり雪が積もった寒い夜となった。

食事もサービスも雰囲気も満点。

テリーと二人でまた来ようね、と約束をしたのでありました。
