Kimchi Sukiyaki
Sukiyaki is a soy sauce based beef stew and one of popular Japanese traditional dishes. We usually make it in a big shallow pot and serve it in the pot on the dining table. Family will use their chopsticks and help themselves, using their individual bowls. Many people enjoy this stew with a raw egg. My version of sukiyaki in this post is quite different from the traditional sukiyaki, as there is no beef (or any meat) in this stew and I also flavored it with kimchi. I’m not a big fan of eating sukiyaki with a raw egg, so I added a poached egg. Although this is not exactly the same sukiyaki my mom makes, it still satisfied my craving!
