Boursin and Cherry on Baguette
I still had some Boursin cheese left and I thought of making an easy light snack with it. I thought I could just use fruit jam or preserves I had in my fridge to spread with the cheese on baguette. I had apricot, lingonberry, and marmalade, but none of them sounded right. Then all of a sudden the idea of Boursin and cherry preserves came to me and it just sounded perfect! Unfortunately I couldn’t find my favorite cherry preserves, which is Trader Joe’s (I love their large cherry chunks), but I was able to find one similar to it at Byerly’s. I was so right! Cherry and Boursin tasted so good together!! Spread Boursin and chunky cherry preserves on baguette slices. Sprinkle black pepper and serve with arugula leaves on top.

ブルサン＆チェリーカナッペ
ブルサンチーズがまだ少し残っていたので、コレを使って何かスナックでも簡単に作ろうと思って。
チーズとジャムをパンに塗ったら美味しそうだわ、と思って冷蔵庫を見たのですが、うちにたまたまあったのは、アプリコットとか、リンゴンベリーとか、マーマレード。
どうもどれもしっくりこないなあ、と思って、いろいろ考えていて、ふと思いついたのが、チェリー！
チェリーとブルサン、味を想像したら、もうコレしかない！、と思って、チェリーのジャムを買いに行きましたよ～。
トレーダージョーズという店のチェリージャムは、大きなチェリーの塊が入っていてお気に入りなのですが、たまたま売ってなくって、かなりがっくり。
それでも、別のスーパーで、似たような、比較的大きなチェリーのかたまりが入っているものを見つけました。
うちでバゲット風に作ったパンを薄くスライスしたら、ブルサンチーズ、チェリージャム、そして、黒胡椒をたっぷりふって、ルッコラを飾って出来上がり。
思ったとおりの味で、嬉しくなりました～。
なかなかおしゃれな味の組み合わせ。
白ワインのお供にもぴったりですね～。
追記：後ろに写っているのは苺なのですが、カナッペにのっているのは正真正銘チェリーのジャムなんですよ～。粒粒見えるのは、黒胡椒。言われないとなんとなく苺にも見えるかな、とふと不安になっての追記で～す。
