Vegetables from Flea Market (Annandale, MN)

Terry, his mom, and I got up at 6:30 this morning and went to the flea market in Annandale, MN. It was a huge market, and the place was already packed with so many people when we got there. I was hoping to find some antique plates/bowls and a breadbox. Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything I wanted to buy (well, I found one beautiful blue bowl, but it was priced way more than I was willing to pay), but I found lots of beautiful vegetables. I bought green/yellow beans, yellow squash, and kohlrabi, and Terry’s mom gave me some of the radishes she bought. They all look so fresh(look at the color of the squash!), and I can’t wait to try them.

フリーマーケット、今日の戦利品

今朝は土曜日だというのに目覚ましをかけて（苦笑）６時半に起き、テリーと義母と一緒にうちから約一時間のところにある屋外フリーマーケットへ。
着いたのはまだ８時過ぎだというのに、もうスゴイ人。
このフリーマーケット、かなり田舎にあって、どこからこんなに人が集まるか、とびっくり。
しかもはじまりが早く、朝６時半ぐらいには開くのだそう。。。
残念ながら、アンティーク食器は欲しいものが見つからなかった（一ついいなあと思った青色のボウルは値切るにも高すぎる価格がついていて。。。）のだけれど、近くの農家の人たちが沢山野菜を売っていて、いくつか購入。
買ったのは、グリーン＆イエロー・ビーンズ（緑色と黄色のいんげん）、イエロースクオッシュ（黄色いズッキーニのようなもの）、コルラビ（英語では、ｋｏｈｌｒａｂｉ、日本語では？）。そして、義母が買ったラディッシュを少し分けてくれた。
とにかく新鮮な野菜。
イエロースクオッシュやラディッシュ、こんな濃い黄色や赤色のものは見たことがないかも。。。
コルラビ、見たことはあったけれど、実際に買ったことはこれが初めてじゃないかな。。。
どんな料理に変身するかは、お楽しみ（って、今のところ私もまだアイデアが無かったりして（笑））。
それにしても、こんなに沢山の野菜、悪くなる前に二人で食べきれるのか（実際には写真に写っているものの倍ぐらいの量アリ）。。。
