Since there is a train station a few blocks from us, we like to hop on a train and explore the twin cities on the weekend. The other day while we were riding a train, we had a glimpse of this tiny restaurant just off of the University of Minnesota campus. The name “Tofu House” got us curious. So we decided to try it a week later.
Inside the restaurant. It’s small but clean.
The guy cooks, and the lady does everything else.
There are a few other Korean dishes on their menu, but this tofu soup is their specialty. I ordered the vegetable version, and Terry had the one with dumplings.
You add a fresh egg into your soup. The egg quickly curdles and it also helps to make this spicy soup a bit milder.
I love this Korean tradition that a meal is complete with these small vegetable dishes. This picture is blurry because of the steam from the soup. Their kimchi was delicious. It was made just the way (a bit sweeter) I like.
I loved this little place so much! I can’t wait to go back…
