Creamy Miso Pasta with Oysters
It’s the oyster season!
Since Terry does not eat oysters, I don’t buy them very often, but I do like to enjoy them a few times when they are available at the grocery store.
Since I couldn’t resist myself when I saw some yesterday I decided to make a pasta dish with them for today’s lunch.
The creamy sauce accented with garlic and white miso complements the oysters very well.
I added garlic to this sauce this time, but ginger instead of garlic will make great sauce, too.
Creamy Miso Pasta with Oysters
creamy miso sauce
– 1 tablespoon canola oil
– 2 cloves garlic, chopped
– 1/2 onion, chopped
– 1~1.5 cup heavy cream
– 2~3 tablespoons white miso (Japanese Saikyo miso)
– salt and pepper
4~5 oysters
100g cooked pasta
1. Make sauce. Cook garlic and onion with oil for a few minutes. Add heavy cream and miso. Mix well. Continue to cook; do not boil. Add salt and pepper. Add oyster and cook for another few minutes until the oysters are cooked through. Serve the oyster sauce over cooked past.
