Coffee Macarons
Because I practiced a week before our party, I felt a bit more ambitious this time.
I decided to make two flavors of macarons for the party.
Raspberry and coffee.
I had made raspberry macarons before, but coffee flavor was my first attempt.
Overall, they turned out very well.
The success rate (the percentage of presentable macaron shells) was about 65% and it’s a very acceptable number to me(lol).
Many of the party guests liked this coffee macarons and they (as well as the raspberry ones) were the first thing to be gone.
macaron shells – follow this recipe. Add 1 teaspoon of coffee granule. I also used almond meal flour instead of almond flour.
coffee butter cream
– 1 cup salted butter, room temperature
– about 1 ~ 1.5 cup of confectioners sugar
– 1~2 tablespoons almond milk – microwave to make it warm and dissolve about 1/2 teaspoon of instant coffee
1. Make macaron shells following the recipe above.
2. Make cream. Mix well all the ingredients.
3. Sandwich the cream with the shells.
