  • These look good, could I have your recipe for the basic biscuit using the olive oil and Greek yogurt? And is the yogurt full fat yogurt? Thanks!

    Lori,

I used a recipe from a Japanese website. The original recipe called for salad oil and regular yogurt. I used olive oil and full fat Greek yogurt. I usually double the recipe to make about 8 biscuits.

    Biscuits(makes 4)

    1. Combine 80g of all purpose flour, 20g of whole wheat flour, a table spoon and half of sugar, a teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
    2. Add 20g of oil and mix using hands.
    3. Add 50g of yogurt and mix.
    4. Roll about 1 inch thick, and cut with a floured cutter.
    5. Bake at 350F for about 18 minutes.

    Enjoy!

    Josephine,

Thank you for your interest in this biscuit! Please see my reply to Lori above for the recipe. To make “sesame” biscuits, add white and black sesame seeds at step 3. I hope you’ll like it!

  • Thanks Reiko! We hope you will post some food experiences from Panama and perhaps some inspirations you might try at home!

    Lori,

I just posted some of the food pictures from our trip. I did get some food ideas from this trip and I’m planning to share them soon!

  • These look great! Hoping you had a great time at your vacation 🙂

Thank you! It was a great vacation and I enjoyed it very much!

  • Lori and Josephine:

I just realized that the Greek yogurt I was using was “nonfat” instead of full fat.
