Green Tea Yeast Waffles
I have made yeast waffles before and I loved them very much, and then I kind of forgot about it. A few weekends ago Terry and I was at an art fair in Minneapolis and we found a Belgian waffle stand. Their waffle made me realize how much I liked the yeast waffles and I had to make them again. This is green tea flavored. They are beautiful green colored without any artificial coloring (see the last photo below!) and the green tea flavor is definitely there. I liked them very much but I think they can be even better. I’m in the process of tweaking the recipe a little bit to make them even more buttery and chewy. These waffles are not very sweet themselves. So it’s perfect to sprinkle confectioner’s sugar or/and drizzle white chocolate!
